If you are planning to visit Ladakh by bus and you must prepare for a bumpy road because traveling to Ladakh by bus may be a very difficult experience for you. So generally Ladakh is connected with Jammu by roads. There are two routes from which you can go to Ladakh one route is of Srinagar to Ladakh by Zojila pass and the other route is Manali to Ladakh by Rohtang Pass
Zoji La Pass opens from June to October and Rohtang Pass open between June to September you can go and plan your journey from New Delhi to Leh via Zojila pass in the month of June to October or via Rohtang Pass in the month of June and September.
The maximum time from New Delhi to Ladakh tour bus maybe 3 days to 4 days and it cost around 2400 rupees(approx).
So if you like long Journeys long roads scenic drive or delivering nature then you have to try the bus route but it must be that tiring one
The bus service is not operational in the winters it is only operational in the summer because the weather conditions are not favorable for driving in winters. The roads are covered with the snow in the meters and bus cannot pass through those roads so you must plan your journey in the month of June, July, August or September
So if you are planning A comfortable trip then you must take aeroplane from Delhi 22 airport in Leh which is Kushok Bakula Rimpoche airport this Airport is connected to major airports in the country including Delhi from this airport the City Centre is around 9 kilometers away from the airport you can reach the city center by taxi or you can hire a cab from outside the airport there are also some few buses which you can take to go from and to the Kushok Bakula Rimpoche airport
the price of tickets from Delhi to Leh for this airport arises between 2500 to 3000 but when the tourist season comes the price can go up till 5000 to 6000 it takes approximately an hour to reach Ladakh from Delhi via airplane. but sometimes the airport gets shut because of the snow for the extreme weather conditions in Leh Ladakh so be prepared for that and plan according to that And the airport is very small in size so the flights in one day are around 4 to 5 flights in a day only.
Since the airport is small, passenger facilities are not up to the mark. Also, be prepared for stringent checks as the airport comes in a politically sensitive region.
Comes the most exciting way to go from Delhi to Ladakh.
Which is trending nowadays many people go to Ladakh via bike it is so adventurer’s so I don’t say I will not say comfortable but it is such a wonderful experience that you should experience this at least one time in your life.
I am telling you this will be the best experience in your life so let’s see how you can reach there where bike and what are the things you should carry while you are traveling by bike.
But remember my words traveling from Delhi to Ladakh by bike is not an easy task you should be are trained Rider and should have experience in riding the mountains because you will come across many water crossing many tilt roads many cores which is very dangerous very very dangerous
I must say so if you are riding bikes in those areas you should be so confident that you should cover those distances easily or you should have the experience to travel there because you should have luggage the bike is heavy so you should be safe.
The petrol pumps when you are traveling via Srinagar or Manali a very less so you must carry the Jerry cans with you so that you can able to fill those can at least two 5 litres cans for further use for carrying the Jerry cans according to your bike tank or mileage so if I will give you the list how many petrol pumps you will get when you are riding then till Srinagar you will not face any problem with the petrol pumps you will get plenty of petrol pumps between the roads after Srinagar the first petrol pump is available at Mangam which is 32 kilometer from Srinagar
The next refueling can be done at Sonmarg which is after 80 kilometers from Srinagar and 48 kilometers ahead of men gum
Please make sure that you should have enough fuel in Sonmarg Ofilia Jerry cans as well because the next petrol pump is located in Kargil which is around 124 kilometers from Sonmarg or 204 kilometers from Srinagar
After Kargil, the next fuelling station will be in Mul bake which is around 40 kilometers from Kargil and 242 kilometers from Srinagar there are two or three more petrol pumps near Mulbekh so you can also go thereafter that you can easily reach to Leh.
Then when you are returning backfill your tanks in Leh then in Karu then in Tandi and the last one is Manali after that you will get plenty of petrol pumps to reach Delhi.
While riding a bike you should consider seeing the mechanic shops because the shops are very less available in those areas so if unfortunately your tire got punctured or you have some another problem then you should remember that before two kilometers of 3 km before you have a mechanic then your teammate can go and you can and get your vehicle repaired
If you are going by bike you can take any of the routes which you want the Srinagar to Leh route all the Manali to Leh route but as my opinion says you should take the full circuit route first you should go via Srinagar to Leh then come Leh to Manali then Delhi or Delhi to Srinagar to Leh then Leh to Manali to Delhi in this way you can complete the whole circuit and you will experience all the beautiful scenic alluring views of mountains valleys rivers lakes and etc.

Consequences of increase in traveling in Ladakh
Everybody must go to Ladakh if they love traveling or adventure because the beauty Ladakh has is adorable and cannot be explained in words.
But due to increase in traveling because of the movie 3 idiots in many places of Ladakh tourism had also increased in the recent years which also increases the business in Ladakh, but this thing is also destroying the nature over there.
As tourism increases the vehicles over there also increases which generate very harmful gases which cause an increase in the temperature over there and ice start melting too early.
An average person drinks over 4-6 liters of water in a day in Ladakh because it is situated on high altitude due to which the process of respiration increases and because of that body gets dehydrated so easily.
The only source of water in the Himalayas is the snowfall. The water bottles and the snack wrappers which we through anywhere is also degrading the environment there and results in an increase in plastic waste which is not biodegradable waste.
So, my only request to those who are traveling that side or anywhere in the world, please do not pollute the environment and try to preserve the beauty our country has.
If you want to know more about this condition in Ladakh then you must see this video.
